The Karl's Siphoning Hoses 100, the second race of the 2008 ARLA Elite Series season, took place at the North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham.

The Race[edit | edit source]
The Smash Beer pole award went to Nokamaru Tsukari in the #11 car, with Nakano Satasumi on the outside of row one. Three drivers were making their ARLA debuts in this race. Tennessee short track hotshot Elizabeth Cargill-Smith, and former GRL drivers Greg Stanton and Will Schweig. At the end of the first lap, Jason Bates and Mario Franchetti made contact sending them both spinning and starting huge pile-up behind them. Nakano Satasumi took the lead in the orange #32 car soon after the restart.
On Lap 8, Ryan Baldwell and Hamilton Porteu collided causing a pile-up on the backstretch that included Aaron Cruise,Ricky Navarro, and Greg Stanton. Further down the track Jared Andersen and Robet Truex spun. Nakano Satasumi and Leslie Riggs broke away on the restart. On lap 15 caution three happened, when Vinnie Enzo and Kevin Colley with the end result being Tristan Roberts on his roof.
The largest wreck of the race occurred on lap 22 when Rodger Terlosky spins Micheal White starting a massive pile-up that saw Matt Pearson end up on his roof. Under this yellow, Satasumi had to pull out due to a mechanical glitch.
Leslie Riggs would lead on the restart, but another yellow flew almost immediately, when Harry Enola got dumped by Vinnie Enzo. After the restart, Tristan Roberts got dumped by Justin Parker, but didn't bring out a yellow. However a yellow flag did fly soon after, when Vinnie Enzo and Bob Stephans wrecked on the backstretch.
On lap 41, Harry Enola bumped Manuel Ortiz unsuccessfully. the next lap Harry Enola successfully booted the Puerto Rican out of the way causing the next caution in the process. After the race the two got in a shouting match in the garage.
there was a non-caution soon after the restart when Kurt Walker and Greg Stanton collided , but no yellow flew. There was a yellow flag on lap 49. Bob Stephans clipped Alex Carson sending him spinning into Nokamaru Tsukari.
The last yellow flag of the night was on lap 61 when Bruno Battaglia spun the lapped car of Kodi Richards. After the restart, Dale Underwood and Leslie Riggs engaged themselves in a duel for the lead. They were soon joined by Akira Tsukari who eventually passed the both of them and went on to win the race. Leslie Riggs finishes second, marking the first time a female 1-2 finish happened in ARLA.
