The 2010 Daytona 200 presented by Smash Beer was the first race of the 2010 ARLA Elite Series season.
The event was a racing debut for several auto manufacturers, among them Brixius (with the Blazer), Savage (Strike), Cavallo (Brawn), and spec chassis builders Cromwell and Duncan.
Smash Beer held a contest to give the starting command, which was won by Walter Fogelson. When OEN commentator Earl McDermott noted how young Fogelson was, broadcast partner Scott Bush said, "Just roll with it."
The Team Burr cars of Paul Lyons and Toby Armstrong parked before the green flag.
