The Brands Hatch GP was the fourth race of the 2012 Dash Cup season which saw Daniel Miller the victor, with his teammate Carla Rosinski in 2nd in the 28 car. This was Atlantic Motorsports' first ever 1-2 finish, and they dedicated it to Ben Tremblay, their teammate who had died in the race prior this one, and Shawn Glenhooke, who had died in the same accident. Only one car retired from the whole race, which was the #9 of Andrew O'Reilly, who was one of two debut drivers, the other being Ashley Ambercroft, who had started on the pole. The Lycoia also made their Dash Cup debut with Ambercroft.
