Dover International Speedway, nicknamed the Monster Mile, is a one-mile (1.609-km) oval located in Dover, Delaware. It is also known by the name of the larger complex it sits in, Dover Downs.
The track[edit | edit source]
On the back stretch there are two cross-over bridges, the newer of which has a glass bottom so spectators can sit in seats there and see a full view of the racing. There is a casino next to the racetrack. The concrete-paved track surrounds a harness/horse racing track, so the garages are located in the inside of the turns.
Current use[edit | edit source]
The RROL raced here in the past, and was scheduled to run in the 2011 Vaughn Stock Car Championship season, along with it's lower tier season 2011 Vaughn American Racing Tour season, but with the season cut short, it was ultimately cancelled. The ARLA Thunder Trucks made a visit to this track in 2010. The 2013 FARCE Modified Series Season is scheduled to race here for their season finale.
