Firecracker Racing (formerly Motor Assault Racing from 2010 through 2017) is a FARC Lowe Dollar team owned by Lisa Marley, currently fielding the #9 Master Spark Plugs/C9 Antifreeze Kanako for Marisa Raines. They are known for preferring to hire woman drivers for their cars.
The team originated as a factory team for Kivett, with Joey Harrison and Amy Harrison as the drivers of the #100 and #102 cars. Joey was replaced by former TM Master Cup Series driver Rachel Rainsford for 2011.
For 2012, the team cut back to one full-time car, bringing in Cyrus, a former Riggs Motorsports development driver. She put together a very impressive championship run, consistently running in the top 5 in points.
Cyrus moved to Edwin Schwarzloski's Racers With Disabilities team for 2013, though Marley remained the listed owner of her car. Hungarian Lenore Scurry was signed to the 102 car to replace her.
With Schwarzloski's team not returning for 2014 due to rumored financial problems, Marley and Cyrus returned to the renumbered #3 car. Cyrus' RWD teammate Hitsuno was signed to the new #4 entry, bringing with her sponsorship from Atsuro Technologies. The team finally scored their first wins, with Hitsuno winning her Sprint race at Langhorne, and Cyrus winning the feature at Mosport. Cyrus was the points leader for much of the beginning of the season, but missed several races after being injured at New York, and plummeted down the standings.
Both Cyrus and Hitsuno will return for 2015.
