Formula A is the highest class of single-seater auto racing. The "formula", designated in the name, refers to a set of rules with which all participants' cars must comply. The season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix held on purpose-built circuits and public roads. The results of each race are combined with a points system to determine two annual World Championships, one for the drivers and one for the constructors. It is supported by several feeder series, the most prominent of which is Formula B.

Non-canon notes[edit | edit source]
- Formula A remains a mention-only series for two reasons: one being how well NR2003 supports (or rather, doesn't support) decent enough open wheel physics to Cynon's liking, and the other being that rFactor AI are too damn wonky and the replays unnecessarily annoying to navigate through.
- Formula A is the Formula 1 of the TM universe, with essentially the same exact races in the same places. This leads to the second reason Formula A is a mention-only league: because either the NR2003 counterpart to the tracks either don't exist, boring, have track problems or not very AI-friendly (i.e. Monaco).
