Groves Racing is an American racing team that fields cars in the ARLA Elite Series.
The team is known for its three consecutive victories at the Daytona International Speedway, when the track was the first race of the ARLA calendar.
2008[edit | edit source]
The 2008 season started off well with Manuel Ortiz winning both the Smash Beer Shootout and the Smash Beer 100. The rest of the season didn't go so well as Ortiz never finished in the top five again and only recorded two more top tens. He would also finish outside the top 10 in points.
2009[edit | edit source]
For the 2009 season, Marcos Leonard was brought in to drive the 78, and the 76 was used to try out multiple drivers and give them a ride for the 2010 season.
Marcos Leonard would kick off the 2009 season with a win in the rain at Daytona.
Out of all the try outs for the 76 car,Scott Morales would be the the most successful out of the seven. Morales would win the qualifying race at Pocono, and led with one to go before being passed by eventual winner Brenda Riggs and Lance Andrews, Morales would end up finishing third. With his good runs, Morales also ran the final three races.
2010[edit | edit source]
When the series required that teams would use their own chassis, Groves Racing decided to not use an Inglesby chassis, but rather an independent chassis, the Duncan GT, due to the builder being a long time friend of Kenn.
Like the past two years, Groves racing would win at Daytona, this time with Scott Morales. He would also win the pole for the Rockford 200.
