Launch Energy
Launch Energy is an energy drink that is very active in motor sports. The team entered the TM Master Cup Series in 2009 by sponsoring Arto Kekkonen. In 2011, they stepped up their sponsorship to both cars at FLASH Racing. Following the 2012 season, Launch took majority ownership of the historic FLASH team, renaming it the American Launch Energy Racing Team, or ALERT.
Their attempts to develop racing drivers throughout the world, and their "Launch Ladder" (a driver development program, with the offshoot channel 44 produced reality show) have been highly questioned, the hiring of Michael Sykes as their "Director of Motorsport" in 2014 led to tension and aggravation between Sykes and Launch's Executives, about where the "End Goal" of a driver's development journey, Sykes was strongly pushing for TMMC participation, whilst the Executives wanted each driver to end up in Formula A. Sykes' departure in early 2017 through his own personal reasons paved the way for Launch to disappear from most cars and sponsor boards in recent TMMC seasons.
They owned the naming rights of the Olrhain Dewi Sant circuit in Wales until the end of 2019.
Launch Energy drink comes in many varieties, including Red Alert, UV Grape, Orange, Lemon, and Whiteout flavors; as well as sugar free, caffeine free, and natural variants.
