Majestic Motorsports is a former TM Master Cup team and was the Gasnier factory team.

History[edit | edit source]

Majestic Motorsports debuted on the TM Master Cup grid in 2010, taking over the spot vacated by Garth McCallister, Sr.'s organization.

2010[edit | edit source]

The team began operations with three Gasnier Dragoons, fielded by former Master Cup champions Matt Taylor and Dale Roswell. Carlos Donzelo drove the third car, with Packer Carroll entered in a fourth partial-schedule entry. Delano and its associated brand Casargo was the team's primary sponsor, though Roswell carried longtime sponsor IBEW on his car.

None of the Majestic drivers finished in the top 10 in points that season.

2011[edit | edit source]

2011 saw a number of changes in the team, as the Master Cup imposed a cap of two full-time cars (plus a third car) per team. The cap forced a shuffling of its driver lineup. Though Roswell was retained, neither Taylor, Donzelo, nor Carroll were. Frenchman Jacques Bouvier signed on to drive the team's second car. Sponsor Delano also left, taking its sponsorship to the Bolden Speedstable.

ARLA rookie Rene Recamier was signed to the third car. He would make his debut at the 2011 Round of Decatur in preparation for a full-time run in 2012.

2012[edit | edit source]

Recamier made his much-anticipated full-time debut for Majestic Motorsports in 2012, alongside former Vaughn Stock Car Championship driver and fellow rookie Ryan Matthews, who also made his Master Cup debut in the 2011 Round of Decatur. The team also renumbered its cars to No. 11 and No. 12. It continued its affiliation with Gasnier, switching to the Spahi model from the Dragoon.

Both Matthews and Recamier would struggle in the early part of the season, but while the team showed patience with Matthews, it showed less with Recamier, who showed none of the speed he did in his ARLA career. As such, the team replaced him with eventual TM Europe champion Mélanie Clévenot for two races, the Round of Russia and Round of Wales. She placed in the top-15 in both races, easily outpacing teammate Matthews.

Mika Paasonen, who made a hero of himself at the 2012 Karjala Grand Prix, replaced Clévenot at the Round of Quebec, bringing stability to the No. 12 car.

Purchase[edit | edit source]

Main article: Lynxe Racing

The operations of Majestic Motorsports were purchased by French fashion house Lynxe near the end of 2012. As a result of the purchase, neither Matthews nor Passonen were retained by the team, as Lynxe has historically preferred female drivers for its cars. The team was rechristened Lynxe Racing, and retained the Majestic Motorsports car numbers of 11 and 12.
