Maro Adachi is a Japanese racing driver from Tsubame, Niigata prefecture, Japan.
Racing Career[edit | edit source]
Maro has raced in Super GT since 2006, where he captured 11 career wins through 2013. He moved to the upstarting Torōru To Rori Fan Team in 2009. In 2013, he competed in the Ring of Fire tour for the ARLA Elite Series, finishing 7th at Motegi and Hokkaido and runner-up in the Russian Grand Prix. Adachi then attempted to make his American debut at the 2013 Rockford 200 and the 2014 Smash Beer 500, but failed to qualify for the feature in both.
In 2019, Adachi made a surprise return to what is now the FARC Lowe Dollar Series when he was signed by Walker Texas Racing to replace defending champion Mark Thompson, who was experiencing legal issues related to his role at RON Oil. Adachi brought new sponsorship from Otakuma Media to fill this void.
