FARC National Series Driver

Michael Alessandro Madrigal (born 1990) is a American race car driver, currently driving the #64 for M&J Racing in the ARLA Elite Series. He has had extensive experience with vehicles since he was a kid and one day dreams of being a future Master Cup champion. He currently resides in Wilmington, California, and is in a relationship with VSCC driver Jessica Graham. He also drives the #63 Ted's Chinese Takeout Omecha MA03 for M&J Racing

ARLA Thunder Trucks history[edit | edit source]

In 2009 Madrigal was announced as the driver for SpeedSOS Motorsports's entry in the second tier ARLA Thunder Trucks. He would have a up and down rookie season, however he didn't make the cut at the finalie that year in Rockford, the only race he didn't qualify in.

2010 was a disasterous year for Madrigal, as he would be involved in a number of wrecks early in the season and the new ClairTech engines proved to be unreliable for him on speed as he would miss over half the races that year. Despite nearly being kicked from his ride, he was originally stated to be driving for the team again in 2011, but then he was called over by M&J Racing to drive their famous 64, as Bobby Porteau was moving to the TM Master Cup Series and race for Rick Milligan, and team owner Aoi Tanazaka took the ride for the current year.

ARLA Elite Series history[edit | edit source]

In 2010 Madrigal got a jumpstart to the Elite Series by qualifying for the Daytona 200 along with teammate and girlfriend Jessica Graham. He managed to lead a number of laps in the race itself before he was caught in a wreck and fell back through the field.

He and Graham also attempted to qualify for the 120 Laps of Dwyer along with relief drivers Haruka Sarazaki and Quan Xing respectively. Both did not manage to get past the qualifiers with Grham getting herself DQ'd in Pre-Qual 1 and Madrigal getting caught in a lap 1 wreck in the main qualifier.

He along with Graham again would make a attempt to qualify for the Rockford 200 but neither made it past the qualifiers.

He was a surprise pick when Christian Johaanes selected him to drive the #64 after the departing Bobby Porteau, at first he was seen as a pay-driver since he was bringing sponsorship from RedLine Internet Service, however by finishing in the top 5 in the Rookie Shootout people have seen that he can drive one of the most known cars in ARLA. He has proven to be able to perform well, coming within inches of winning his first race in Talladega before being beating down the line by Allie Riggs. However he also has had setbacks, including a bad finishes in St. Petersberg and Las Vegas.

Personal info[edit | edit source]

Madrigal is good friends with current TM Master Cup series reserve driver Azuma Kazeyama, both sharing similar hobbies of being fans of Japanese Animation and Video Games. As stated earlier he is currently in a relationship with Jessica Graham, who he's been together with for 4 years.
