Phyllis Theodor (born June 22, 2000) is a Canadian short track racer born in Montreal and raised in St. Johns.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Named after her great grandmother, Phyllis Theodor is the eldest daughter of former Master Cup crew chief Phil Theodor. Thanks to her father’s time as the crew chief of Armand Dilpare during his time with Mitchell and Sons, she developed an interest in motorsport. She enjoyed moderate success in go-karts and eventually local late model races driving for her family team at the time. When Armand Dilpare called Phil on starting up a FARC team in late 2016, he asked if Phyllis would race under his wing to which Dilpare agreed on the condition of running Dilpare Transmissions sponsorship.
2017[edit | edit source]
Phyllis first competed in the 2017 FARC Larry Lemon Super Series driving the #25 Dilpare Transmissions machine. Unfortunately for her, it was a disaster as she finished last of the 20 starters. She, along with Armand Dilpare, attempted that year’s Rockford 200 with her scoring points in her E-Main and making it to the D-Main before being eliminated.
2018[edit | edit source]
She returned to the Super Series this time driving the #04 while her team owner drove the #25 in a bid to boost Phyllis’ morale after the dismal 2017 season. It paid off with her winning the Super Series races at the prestigious Rockford and Bowman-Gray while also earning 3 top-5s and 4 top 10s to finish 7th in the final driver standings. She also qualified for the Lowe Dollar Series race at Moncton.
