TM Lights Driver |
Robert Blake (born December 21, 1994 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American race car driver who races for BlackDiamond Racing in the TM Lights series. Blake previously competed in sprint cars, however, a series of crashes urged him to find a career in stock cars. He was slated to attempt a few ARLA Elite Series races in 2012, but funding was never secured.
After a strong test for BlackDiamond Racing, he replaced German driver Bernhard Strauss as the driver of the #7 car for the 2013 season. Blake starred early in the season, finishing 11th at Fontana and 12th at Carbondale, but he has not finished higher than 15th since. Despite this, Blake's only retirement in the first 6 races is at Piqua, and he sits 30th in the championship on 45 points.
