The Rockford 200 is raced on the quarter mile track known as Rockford Speedway, and is best known as the traditional season finale for the FARC Lowe Dollar Series. Under FARC's predecessor ARLA, the race was run from 1973-2001 and was cut from the schedule after a dispute with the promoters, and then put back on the schedule in 2009 through 2013.While absent from the Lowe Dollar Series schedule, the "200" name has been used for a national late model feature, which will become the season finale for the FARC Tornado Alley Tour in 2021. (On the below table of winners, only events under Lowe Dollar Series sanctioning are listed.)
Under ARLA/FARC sanctioning, the race has been known for its' surprise winners.
