The St. Petersburg Street Circuit is a 1.806-mile (2.906-km), 14-turn temporary road course located in St. Petersburg, FL. It held an ARLA Elite Series and Formula Overdrive race in 2011.
Layout[edit | edit source]
The circuit starts on the runway of the St. Petersburg airport, and joins public streets in turn three. Then comes a long straight which passes a baseball park. It has a bus stop type corner which is layed out in a parking lot, then has two hard right turns before heading onto a straight interrupted by two kinks. It runs next to Tampa Bay here, and makes a difficult chicane next to the recently constructed Salvador Dali art musuem. The circuit ends with a short purpose built section that feeds onto the main runway.
