Championship Overview

The 2018 AST Southwest Stocks season is the upcoming season of the AST Southwest Stocks; a lower-budget, semi-professional auto racing series, featuring late models competing primarily on short tracks in the southwestern United States.

Schedule[edit | edit source]

The 2018 schedule for the tour will feature eleven race weekends, highlighting tracks in Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah; as well as the series’ first visit to Mexico for a race at the Ovalo Juarez. Three of these events will serve as support races for the FARC Lowe Dollar Series, including the season opener at Remembrance Stadium in San Antonio.

Points System[edit | edit source]

The series uses the same points system used by the FARC touring divisions.

The most points that a driver can score in a single race is 135; 100 points for winning plus 20 for earning the Pole Award plus 5 for leading at least one lap plus 10 for leading the most laps of any driver.
