Ashley Flynn (formerly known as Ashley Almendinger) is an American race car driver that has competed in the Dash Cup series.

Pre-Dash Cup career[edit | edit source]

Flynn had an extensive background in motocross, and moved to Dash Cup racing in 2012.

Dash Cup career[edit | edit source]

2012[edit | edit source]

Flynn made her debut at the 2012 EuroSpeedway GP. Though she would come home a solid 11th place, she made a number of overaggressive moves that ultimately cost her three points and earned her a five-race probation. Flynn was apologetic after the event, saying, "I'm terribly sorry towards Michael Dougly, I was a little too zealous in this race, and in doing so, I caused a lot of problems."

Flynn's next race at Oulton Park was less eventful, as though she was involved in an early incident, her race was relatively clean otherwise and she finished 15th. Another uneventful race followed at Calder Park, where she finished 10th. However, Flynn's woes returned at the Streets of Osaka, where she was taken out of the race on the first lap in an incident not of her doing. Mid-pack finishes at Spa and New York

The post-season American exhibition tour was much better for Flynn, as she scored her first (non-points) victory in a crash-filled race at Daytona. "WOO! Oh man, What a race," she said. "I gotta thank Clason Enterprises, those guys put up with so much bullshit from the other competitors. This is to everyone who says we can't win!"

2013[edit | edit source]

2013 started poorly for Flynn, as she failed to qualify for the season-opening Eurospeedway GP.
