TM Lights Driver

Clair Auxier (born June 27, 1991 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec) is a Canadian race car driver currently part of the Lynxe Women's Driver Development program in the TM Lights Series. Auxier raced in TM Canada during the 2011 season in preparation for her TM Lights campaign, and earned a reputation as being fast but lacking discipline. Of note, Auxier threw away two certain victories at the Round of Toronto and the Round of Mosport during her lone TM Canada season.

2012[edit | edit source]

Auxier and teammate Alli Culotta have been fairly even on pace. Auxier was significantly faster at Road Atlanta but a collision with countryman Brian Morris cost her a certain top-10 result. Culotta finished ahead of Auxier at Road Atlanta and again at Carbondale, where Auxier posted her best result to date, a 6th. She earned her first career pole at Piqua, but finished 2 laps down in 16th. She earned a second pole at Portland, but it was at Darlington where it all came together for Auxier, when she led the final 7 laps and scored her first career TM Lights victory.

Auxier suffered clutch failure at Michigan, before bouncing back with a 10th place finish at Ohio.

She is currently 11th in the points standings.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The name Clair Auxier came from BurningThunder's PCC Cup series. Her background was inspired by her PCC Cup performances – fast and capable of leading laps, but not really capable of finishing there.
