TM Lights Driver

Han Yong-Sung, nicknamed Best Korean, is a TM Lights driver, the first TM driver from North Korea. He currently drives in the #71 IBC Cream Soda car for Gravity Racing, Inc. He is known for almost winning his first ever race at Auto Club Speedway, just losing out to Buffy Boreanaz.

Before moving to TM Lights he drove in various series in Asia such as Formula Nippon and Super GT.

2013[edit | edit source]

TM Lights[edit | edit source]

In California he started 6th, the 3rd fastest rookie. Yong-Sung grabbed the lead on the restart following the red flag with 2 laps remaining. The Korean looked poised to win his first ever race until Buffy Boreanaz bumped the rear of the #71 and won by 0.04 seconds.

At Carbondale he qualified a lowly 37th, however in a crash-strewn race he recovered to an impressive 7th. A gain or 30 places.

In Road Atlanta, his first road course event, he ran decently until his engine blew.

TM Master Cup[edit | edit source]

In May, Yong-Sung attempted to qualify for his first TMMC race at Karjala for Wernstrom, but failed to make the grid.
