Master Sport Motorsports is a multi-national chain of teams in many various sorts of racing. Owning three teams, it currently has a very fair share of drivers for each series it enters. Other teams include Master Sport Pro, and Master Sport Racing.

History[edit | edit source]

Being a relatively new team to the tracksides, not very much information about this team and it's drivers exists. Master Sport Motorsports was created on May 22nd, 1999, after the now current team owner, Breggium Antutonnen, decided to join five others to aspire into a multi-national team. Antutonnen focused primarily in a series called the "Around the World Racing Series" or ATWRS. The team, had several championships in the early stages won, in ATWRS. This is what excelled Master Sport Motorsports to what it is today.

In 2007, after several seasons of excellent racing from a number of popular names in the ATWRS series, Oliver Lapertinum, Breggium Antutonnen, and Monty Riggs, and Jim Dareli created a second team named 'Master Sport Racing.' Forming less-than-stellar success over the years, until 2010 when Master Sport Racing and Motorsports were about to file for bankruptcy; Master Sport Racing nearly died in late 2010. That is when current owner Oliver Lapertinum took a massive gamble in recruiting the overly young Alexa Lake, who, at 17, managed to steal the championship title from Dan Langer. This brought Master Sport Racing to the gold as throughout the season of 2011, massive fame was brought to the so-called 'Little team that could' and it's only driver, sporting yellow and red on a 2011 Helsing Hunter. 17 year old Alexa Lake who drove the 26 car stated that she never thought she could ever do this. She often pushed the wheels of this underpowered car and pushed it to the very brink of disaster. She is the sole person to save Master Sport Racing, along with the quick-minded thinking, and so-often stupidity of Breggium Antutonnen.

Master Sport Racing and Motorsports excelled with fame after the astonishing feat of Alexa Lake. Her fortune and luck landed her a permanent spot in Master Sport Motorsports and would eventually earn the role of earning Master Sport Pro in 2016.

The team consists of hundreds of drivers, however, many of those are online and do not actually race, but dream of racing is a reality for some drivers.

With the recent addition of Master Sport Pro, team officials at MSM decided to implement tiers to the MS teams. That being that Master Sport Pro, being the lowest tier, and the most newbees get into this team. Master Sport Racing, is the intermediate level team that less and less get into. Master Sport Motorsports is the hardest team of the MS teams and has the least.

To become one of the MSP team entries, you only have to prove that you can drive on a road course and an oval without crashing.

2014[edit | edit source]

Late in the season, Derrike Chaiter was hired to drive for DeGarmo-Delgado Enterprises in the car formerly occupied by Tom Moore.

2016[edit | edit source]

The highlight of the season for the team was Alexa Lake's fourth-place qualifying effort in the FARC race at Watkins Glen International. However, her car would be destroyed in a violent crash after getting turned through the Esses and becoming stuck in the broken Armco barrier. The repairs to the barrier that the impact necessitated brought out an extensive red flag period, and the race would not be restarted.

2017[edit | edit source]

The team is attempting to obtain entries in numerous championships throughout the world.
