Matt Mazzatelli (born October 17th, 1994 in Carlisle, Massachusetts) is a professional race car driver with JAF Autosport in the 2017 North American Auto Club Zippo National Series. He previously raced junior divisions of road racing, primarily at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and also dabbled in short track racing at Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire. 2017 is his rookie season at the major professional level, driving the #79 Draftkings.com sponsored Inglesby. Though he found limited success at the short tracks, his family's New England connections are well-established (notorious state representative Jimmy Sessa, Mazzatelli's uncle, is rumored to have arranged the Draftkings sponsorship), and his charisma charmed team owner John Fischer, who signed him to a deal in NAAC's development series in preparation for 2018, when the team hopes to come up to the Championship Series.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Mazzatelli was known as a sports star at his alma mater of Concord-Carlisle High School, playing hockey, baseball and football and being drafted in the 37th round of the NHL's rookie draft in 2014. However, he decided to keep racing full-time.
