TM Master Cup Series Driver

Shane Lake is an American race car driver and businessman. He previously drove for Jaguar Racing, after that team sacked him after Dwyer in 2011. Chuck Bloomers offered Lake the #89 car for Waltham, but Lake did not accept the offer, instead taking over the 82 car at Pearson Sweeney. Lake also owns Dawgfather's Steakhouse, a restaurant. Many of the company's franchises are near race tracks that the ARLA Elite Series visits. Despite having enough money to buy a TM Master Cup Series drive with Dawgfather's Steakhouse, Lake did not do so. His ARLA efforts earned him the attention of Alex Harrison, and in 2011 Lake embarked on an Independent's Trophy effort in the Alex Harrison #0 car. Lake made his Master Cup debut in the 2010 Round of Decatur with MRD Motorsports in the #567 Dawgfather's Bar and Grill Omecha MA01, and finished 30th as the first car one lap down.

Lake stayed with Jaguar Racing in 2011, but he was released from the team after the 2011 150 Laps of Dwyer because tensions between him and the team broke down. He also revealed he had been racing with injury throughout the 2011 season which probably led to his dismissal. As a result, he decided to drive a third car for Pearson/Sweeney Motorsports for the rest of the season in the 82D car, bringing the same sponsorship with him in the process.

He moved over to drive the #7 Sub-Zero Energy Drink/Dawgfather's Bar & Grill Kivett for Gravity Racing, Inc. in 2012, but parted ways with the team after Road America to focus on managing his restaurant business.
