Zoe Roselle Carter (born 6th October, 1989) is an English/Swedish race driver who will compete in the 2013 Dash Cup season for Abbey Engineering, she has two nationalities to her name as her father is English, but her mother is Swedish. She has won the British sprint car Championship and has had relative success in the British Formula C championship.

Racing career[edit | edit source]

After a brief season in karts in 2005, Carter moved to the British Sprint car championship in 2007 to join her father. She outpaced him on a few occasions in her maiden year, winning twice and would take a shock title the year later, prompting a move to bigger things in 2009. Formula Inglesby was the next thing Carter attempted and running a Huntley chassis, she finished third in the title, Abbey Engineering had took note of this and moved her to a part time drive in British Formula C in 2010. 2010 was a year of learning, although Carter won the production saloon series that she competed in outside of Formula C, she regularly found herself in other people's accidents, the most serious one occurring at Donnington Park where she ended up over the catch fence at the bottom of the craner curves. 2011 saw a full time effort and a bigger improvement with Carter running away from the field to take her first title in Formula C, but at the end of the year she expressed an interest in stock cars and has spent 2012 running part in the BTC and testing Huntley's latest Stock and GT cars.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Carter has recently moved to Kent and lives a mile away from the Lydden Hill circuit. She often participates in track days there usually offering to take people round the circuit for a few laps in her own car. She lives alone and often travels to British circuits as a photographer to take pictures for the newspaper she often contributes for.
