Championship Overview

The 2012 CRL Global Cup Presented by FedEx will be the Continental Racing League Modified Division's first-ever slate of overseas races. The five races will count towards the overall 20-race championship, as well as its own championship battle, earning the nickname, "A Championship within a Championship." The driver who wins the Global Cup will be awarded $500,000, and earn an automatic berth into the last round of the overall championship, the 2012 CRL Grand Finale in Manhattan.

For information on the overall championship, see the article 2012 CRL Modified Division season.
