The Saar Motor Company, commonly referred to as Saar, is an American automobile manufacturer that fields or supplies cars in the TM Master Cup Series, the TM Lights Series, the ASCC, the FARC Lowe Dollar Series, Dash Cup, and AmeriCar, as well as many regional racing series around the world. In addition, it provides engine support for teams in Formula B and NOMAD. It is the largest automobile manufacturer in the United States.

TM Master Cup history[edit | edit source]

Saar's history in racing goes nearly to the beginning of the sport. It fielded cars in what was the TM Stock Car Challenge, the forerunner to the Master Cup. Ivan Huntington won the manufacturer's first championship in 1962, and would repeat in 1966.

Garth McCallister, Sr. and Benny Dwyer would carry the Saar flag throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, winning a combined nine Master Cup championships in that stretch.

As the new millennium dawned, new drivers took up the Saar mantle, including Jonathan Smith, Jr., Joseph Howard, Steve Marshall and Tony Durbin.

In 2019, BlackDiamond Racing (formerly the Tremwell factory team) and New Liberty Racing (owned by former TSUSA lead driver Tony Durbin) will field the Saar Talon full-time.
