Meghan Gallagher is an Irish race car driver who competes for Big Mac Racing in the FARC Lower Dollar Series.

She is most remembered for being severely injured in the 2010 120 Laps of Dwyer, when she and "John Smith" (who turned out to be Hawk Slider, in what is now known as "Dwyergate") crashed hard in Goliath. Gallagher sustained a broken arm and broken leg, and was out of action until the start of the 2012 season.

She was injured at the 2012 ClarTech Darlington Dash, and and missed multiple seasons. She returned to racing in 2018 for Big Mac Racing in a part-time ride in the FARC series. She shocked the world winning two races.

2018[edit | edit source]

Gallagher returned to racing in the 2018 FARC Lowe Dollar Series on a part-time basis with Big Mac Racing. In her part-time schedule, she found great success. She landed a pole, and grabbed two come from behind victories: one at Chicago and one at the finale at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds. This success has pushed her to a full-time seat with the team next season.
