The 2010 Round of Alabama, the penultimate event in the 2010 TM Master Cup season, was held at the Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama.
It was held on the same date as the Round of Russia at the Volgoring Circuit due to that race being rescheduled. As a result of this, TM Master Cup Series officials barred competitors from competing in both events.

Pre-race notes[edit | edit source]
Stuart Sandoval made the race by winning the qualifier, in a rare show of pace for Squadra Corsa. The No. 0 car of Julian Alexander also made it onto the grid through the qualifying race.
Speeds in practice were reported to be reaching nearly 230 miles per hour (370 km/h), leading to a number of concerns about safety.
The Team Saar USA cars all sported liveries reminiscent of the one the late Steve Marshall would run regularly at this track.
Due to this race taking place at the same time as the Round of Russia, a number of substitute drivers were tapped to fill in for the series regulars that opted to run there instead of in this race.
