They were held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Francorchamps, Spa, Belgium.

Procedure[edit | edit source]

After pole qualifying was held to set the front row, the remainder of the field (71 cars) was randomly seeded into one of the two qualifying races. The top 20 finishers from each event would advance to the Spa GP.

Each race was nine laps in length.

Lotto qualifying set Ashley Ambercroft on the pole, with Carla Rosinki in 2nd.

Kade Kroft's dreams of qualifying came to an end very early as he had a mechanical issue coming to the green flag. The race had a very quiet beginning, but the race came to life when the field starting battling more, especially after Bethany Williams had taken the lead from Ambercroft. However, this also resulted in more cars wrecking out. Justin Keith was the first to suffer, as he was spun into the tire barriers. He would fall out of the race, and not qualify for the race. The next victim was Jakob Hughes, who wrecked by himself, and knocked himself out of the race. Miko Rantanen did likewise. After seven laps, Williams was passed by Jess Zander, and Zander never looked back and took home the win for the first qualifier.

There was a spirited battle for the last transfer spot between Kellan Rogers and Rence Brown on the last lap, but Rogers managed to hold on after Brown made a mistake, and that was the all-important spot as Rogers found herself in the field, while Brown does not.

Just like Kade Kroft, Julienne Dann's hopes went up in smoke coming to the green, sending her out of contention. The pole sitter this time was ex-TMMC driver Nick Phillip, however, he would lose the lead on the first lap to Natalie Kendall.

The first lap would also be hard on people such as Stuart Sandoval, Johan Sanchez and Ben Atkins who all found themselves in the wall, however, Atkins soldiered on while Sandoval and Sanchez could not. Rallen Hayden also got damaged in the Sanchez crash, and Sanchez launched off the barrier on top of Hayden's car. Hayden kept going though. Luke Ackermann, who started very well, found himself in the tire barriers on lap 2, and that would end his day. Also, Kendall slid off track on this lap, and had to pit for repairs, handing the lead to Motegi winner Alexander Sybilton.

However, behind them there was a vicious crash between Daniel Miller and Patrick Eichholtz, when Miller got turned into the Armco barrier head on, then Eichholtz slammed into the back of Miller's car, sending him airborne. Miller complained of back pains after the crash, while the elder Eichholtz suffered some minor bruising. On the same lap, Franco Giovanardi had a camshaft problem which seem him out of the race. Tomas Prochazka and Vitaly Nikolayev got together on Lap 3 and that seen both cars out of the race, then two laps later, Zack Johnson spun off track into the tire barriers in the same area. A lap later, Radomir Stanoychev spun into the tire barriers out of third, and then Atkins followed him off. Stanoychev's damage seen him out of the race, while Atkins stayed in a transfer spot for the time being. Alexander Sybilton would go uncontested though, and he would take home Race 2.
