Championship Overview

The 2021 FARC Lowe Dollar Series is the 48th and current season for the flagship racing series of the Federated Auto Racing Championships.

Season Overview

FARC organizers are confident in holding a full year of racing after the pandemic forced the cancellation of every major tour in 2020, but the reset will bring some significant rule changes.

Race restarts after caution periods will be double-file with lead lap cars up front just like the initial starts, replacing single-file restarts with lapped cars lining up on the inside. This rule is intended to generate more passing while keeping slow and damaged cars from interfering with the leaders.

In order to avoid further punishing lapped cars, who will be restarting in the back of the field, a new wave-around rule will be introduced. Once per caution period after routine pit stops have played out, every lapped car, as well as those in line between the leader and the pace car, will be allowed to pass the pace car once and rejoin the back of the field.
