Team |
BlackDiamond Racing is a TM Master Cup Series team. They were announced as the 16th team at preseason testing for the 2012 season. The team originated in TM Lights, winning the 2010 championship with Mike Whitmore, and also won multiple TM Junior Series races.
The Master Cup operation began as a research development team for the Omecha chassis, modifying the MA03 chassis to create the BDM3. However, they used Saar engines, and as a result, were forced to take part in the MCMA boycott of the 2012 Round of Michigan. They had a rotation of drivers for the #19 Omecha, while former champion Dale Roswell was the only full-time driver for the team in the #22 Omecha in 2012.
In 2013, the team returned as the new factory team for Tremwell, purchasing and continuing to develop year-old cars from Mitchell & Sons Racing. As of 2014, they field cars for Zelda Ashby and Gaspar de Sousa.
In 2015, BlackDiamond operated a developmental team in the FARC Elite Series, fielding two part-time cars shared by veteran Brian Sendack and rookies Jimmie Russell and Rick Head.
