2015 FARC season
The 2015 Falkner Automobile Racing Championships was the second season of competition for the stock car sanctioning body FARC.
FARC sanctioned three touring series in 2015:
- FARC Elite Series Powered by Smash Beer
- FARC Duckroll Super Series
- FARC Master Spark Modified Series
FARC continued to sanction several smaller championships around the country under the American Short Trackers banner.

Championship Overview |
The 2015 FARC Elite Series Fueled by Smash Beer featured 24 races held over 20 race weekends, an overall reduction in the number of races thanks to the elimination of the 50/50 Sprint format at all races except for Tulsa and Toledo.
The Elite Series and Super Series will debut a new body style that is less aero-dependent than the 2014 cars. Cromwell Raceworks developed a kit car for the new regulations, dubbed the Speedway Touring 15, but the following models have also been legalized for competition:
- 2010 ASCC Tremwell Knight & Sellick Rushmore
- 2012 TM Lights Bolden LTX12
- 2013-2014 TM Lights Gessler L-Class, Tremwell Knight, Lenard Cheyenne R20, Nemoto Respetti, & Saar Carolina
Teams will be able to use the same car in both the Elite Series and Super Series.
With the return of single-race weekends comes the possibility of entry lists that exceed the pit road capacity of certain tracks. When this occurs, group qualifying sessions will lock in the top 20 starters, with the rest of the field being determined however each track promoter sees fit.
The season opener at Texas World Speedway awarded double points.
20 drivers are entered in the Apex Racing School Rookie of the Year class. The Rookie of the Year will be determined by a separate points battle that includes all 24 championship races as well as four invite-only races, the first of these being the Rookie Shootout at Texas World Speedway. Points will be doubled at these invite-only races. Because there are very few rookies running the full schedule, rookie points will only be awarded at races in which at least four rookies are entered.

The FARC Truck Series was to be restructured to become the third-tier division of FARC racing, losing the majority of its companion events with the Elite Series to the new Duckroll Super Series.
FARC intended for the series to become a short track-only championship, and to return to many smaller venues not visited by the larger FARC divisions throughout the Midwest and Southeast. In correlation with this change would be lower entry fees and correspondingly lower payouts of prize money. Virtually all of the upper-division teams withdrew from the series, and many lower-budget and lesser-known teams announced their intention to enter the series. Teams that opted to move their developmental divisions to the Super Series include Desert Star Motorsports, Ike Durbin, Inc., Lucstar Motorsports, and M&J Racing.
In February, citing insufficient funding, FARC announced that the series would be discontinued. With the departure of LoBo, the series was left without a title sponsor (although the convenience store chain was intending to return as a presenting sponsor). It was determined that there would not be enough funds to award sufficient monetary prize payouts if the races were to be run. All twelve of the scheduled events were cancelled. Ultimately, however, the series would be restructured and return in 2016.
Defending series champion Mike Howard and 2014 runner-up Jeremy Baker were both intending to return with their respective teams, and neither of them were able to secure a full-time ride anywhere else in FARC.

Championship Overview |
The 2015 FARC Master Spark Modified Series will contest a 15-race schedule, up from 10 weekends in 2014. The series contracted from two divisions to one, as the Sport Modified division was eliminated. Both division champions from 2014 return, as Ralph West and Alex Carson again team up at SweeneySport.
The schedule contains dates at Bristol Motor Speedway, Devil's Bowl Speedway, and Riverside Park Speedway, three tracks last visited in 2013 during the last season of the FARCE era. A date at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park was also added as part of the track's annual Icebreaker weekend.
The series will support other FARC divisions on a number of occasions, including the FARC Elite Series event at Watkins Glen International.
Event Calendar[edit | edit source]
All races except for Watkins Glen are 100 laps in length regardless of track size. Heat races will be held to determine the field at tracks that hold less than 32 pit stalls.

Bonus Points
In the Elite Series, a bonus of 10 points will be paid to the drivers who lead the most laps in a single race (the Lap Leader bonus) and make up the most positions from the start (the Hard Charger bonus). Additionally, the top 10 starters will receive bonus points after qualifying. The pole winner receives 20 points; second place receives 9; and each position will receive one point fewer until tenth place is awarded one point.
In all other series, the pole winner, lap leader, and hard charger will receive 5 bonus points.
