Championship Overview

The 2020 Formula B season was planned to be the current season of Formula B, a league designated as the premier feeder series for the Formula A World Championship. The season was cancelled amidst the pandemic.

The season was to be contested over the course of 15 events, 10 of which will serve as support races for Formula A Grands Prix. The opening race will take place at Bahrain International Circuit in Sahkir, while the finale will take place at Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates.

Pre-Season Changes[edit | edit source]

Prior to the start of the season, the league organizers held a three race invitational featuring twelve up and coming drivers. Of the twelve drivers, Max Tender, Fritz Steiner, Kei Nagase, Avril Mead, Ralf Fenstermacher and G.T. Tolbert-Noel were able to find full time rides for the 2020 season.

Two new teams entered the league, Pro Chrasta Nation who bought out the remains of Melrose Racing Team and an unnamed team. League organizers have also allowed teams to run their own car numbers. Engine regulations were reverted back to allowing teams free range of choice, even allowing teams to badge their own engines.
